Welcome to the Call for Speakers for CoderCruise 2018 taking place August 30th – September 3rd, 2018 on the cruise ship the Carnival Conquest, leaving from Ft. Lauderdale. The call will end on February 28th at Midnight UTC so make sure that you get your submissions in before that time!
First of all, we want to welcome you to join us for this unique conference adventure. With the intimateness that comes from being on a cruise, the speakers and attendees mingle together as everyone is taking part in making a shared experience.
For CoderCruise we are looking for a broad range of submissions covering a wide range of web technology topics including coding, design, content, and more. Given the scope of this conference, we emphasize talks that appeal to all web technologists regardless of their programming language of choice (or lack thereof). We also welcome non-technical proposals that will appeal to a tech audience, as well as family-friendly sessions designed to bridge the gap between the family and attendees.
We recognize the effort that goes into preparing a presentation; however, due to the unique nature of this event, we cannot offer any travel/cruise reimbursement to our speakers. You will be responsible for the costs associated with registering for the cruise, as well as any travel costs that you have. We can, however, offer your company a sponsorship in exchange for covering your cost to attend, and we can create invoices that can separate your expense from any traveling companions (such as family).
We do require all our speakers to follow our Code of Conduct. Please familiarize yourself with it.
